Social Entrepreneurship for Roma Communities

An animation created by SENS (The Social Economy Network of Serbia) explains the importance of social entrepreneurship as a new means of tackling growing social inequalities.

Social enterprises are different from most private businesses in that they use their profits to realise social goals, rather than increasing the wealth of owners or shareholders. These goals include job creation, social inclusion, cultural needs and health care.  

As such, social entrepreneurship can be a vehicle for social change, using market strategies to resolve social problems and improve living conditions. For more on social entrepreneurship as “business on a human scale,” see the video in full below:
